YouTube Video of the Day 14/09/2011
I am staring a new segment where I will post my favourite YouTube video that I have seen on a specific day. I will try to keep the videos as short as possible unless it is really good. Anyway with that out of the way, lets move on to today's video. This one is for all the Formula 1 drivers out there. A funny Mercedes TV-Spot with Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg and Mika Häkkinen.
My Top 5 Android Apps
For those who do not know, I am an avid Android User. I'm currently rocking a rooted HTC Desire HD running @1.2Ghz with the Android Revolution HD Rom installed.
5. Blogger Android App
The new updated version supports multiple accounts and syncs directly to your browser version of Blogger.
You can easily publish posts as well as pictures to your Blogger account.
4. Google Maps Navigation
I have never owned a GPS, I always thought that it is a useless gadget that only makes you more dependable. Since however I started to use GMN and I am really impressed. In my location it is still in beta, but I have never received incorrect navigation. This app will jump to my Top 3 if Google adds offline maps storage. My Data Bundle just can't handle the heavy data download from this app to use it daily.
3. Angry Birds Seasons
According to me the best game on Android at the moment. The new Mooncake Festival is the most challenging version yet and definitely not recommended for first time Angry Birds users, but for the hardcore fan it won't disappoint.
2. doubleTwist
The best Android Music Player. I have never got a Force Close on my phone unlike other music players like Winamp. The killer feature of doubleTwist is AirSync. AirSync Makes it possible to sync your phone with your desktop version of doubleTwist. AirSync does cost an additional $4.99, but in my opinion the best $5 I have spend in a long while. doubleTwist missed out on the number 1 spot because of its lack for audio book and coverflow support.
1. Whatsapp
I live in a circle where everybody that I know uses BBM and I use Whatsapp to stay in the loop. It is the app I use the most and rely on the most. Whatsapp's killer feature is its group message service where you can send messages, photos, videos and sound files.

Photostream - Edition 1
I'll be honest, I'm not a professional photographer. The most technical photos I take is taken with my HTC Desire HD and edited in Little Photo. I do however have a huge interest in photos that professional photographers edit and display on their Flickr accounts. So I have decided that instead of acting like I know something relevant about photography, I would rather recommend photographers which I admire.
So with that out of the way, let me move on to my current favourite photographer. Trey Ratciff.
He has some great HDR Tutorials as well.
My Favourite YouTube Channels - Musicians
Since we are on the whole lets get to know Tiaan Bandwagon I can just as well share my favourite YouTube Channels. I think I have a good mix of diverse channels ranging from unsigned musicians to sponsored commercial channels. I am going to try and only give my top 2 in each category.
Lets start with Musicians:
I am currently obsessed with Boyce Avenue, Alex Goot and Harry and Alfie (So much for sticking to 2)
Alex Goot has a great voice and a strange charm that even entices me to listen for hours. Be sure to check out his original song "Sensitivity", it has a fresh twist to a evermore stale pop industry.
The thing that attracted me to Boyce Avenue is that it was 3 grown men singing not just songs that you will come to expect to be sung by them, but also songs that caters to a younger audience, like for example Mean by Taylor Swift. Their collaborations with other YouTube stars are definitely something to listen to. But their original songs take the cake, as you will see if you listen to their "Briane".
I listen to Harry and Alfie I'm down in the dumps, if I want a pick-me-up, and they never disappoint. Their light music is fitting music for almost any scenario. I must say, I listen to them for their originals, not their covers like the artists. I'm sure their upcoming EP won't disappoint. It is a great feeling to be part of something so unique and to know that your view and like actually make a difference.

I think it is great that people can actually make a living by posting videos on YouTube and do the things they love and get paid for it.Of course everyone has their favourites, tell me yours in the comments below.
Welcome to the blog of a boring 18 year old
Thanks for visiting, Don't know why you would take the time to visit my site but thanks anyway. This site will not blow your mind or be politically correct, but I'm sure it will be entertaining. Since this is a welcome post, I will keep it short and focus my time on more important things like watching series or thinking of a new witty post.
